Sija's LYRIC - Lady in Red

Vandaag kreeg ik de tweede LYRICS bijdrage van Sija voor onze swap binnen. Ze was geinspireerd door het liedje Lady in Red van Chris the Burgh. Totaal anders dan de vorige en net zo waanzinnig mooi. Ook nu weer zijn compositie en kleuren helemaal in balans. Weer een juweeltje in mijn ARTjournal!!

Today Sija's second LYRICS card for our swap arrived. She was definitely inspired by Chris the Burg's song Lady in Red. Totally different from the first one and as outrageously beautiful. And again a perfect balance between composition and colors. Another gem in my ARTJournal!!

Sija's LYRIC - Hello Dolly

Sija liet zich voor ons ART Journal onderwerp inspireren door het liedje "Hello Dolly".
Met dit prachtige resultaat!! De compositie maar vooral de kleuren spreken mij bijzonder aan. Een waar juweeltje voor mijn journal. Ik ben heel benieuwd naar de andere songtekst.

For our ART Journal Sija was inspired by the song "Hello Dolly", which resulted in this beautiful piece of art. I'm impressed by the composition and colours. A true gem for my journal. I am looking forward to the other lyric.

ART Journal - vervolg/continued 2

De andere songtekst die me inspireerde was die van Herman Brood & Henny Vrienten "Als je wint". Dat gaat o.a. over de wielrenner die helemaal gefocused is op winnen, want dan heb je vrienden! De stempel heb ik zelf gemaakt met de ImagePac. De achtergrond is weer gemaakt met acrylverf.

The other lyric which inspired me is the song "If you win" from Dutch performers Herman Brood & Henny Vrienten.The cycle racer is totally focused on winning, because winners will have plenty of friends! The stamp is home made with the ImagePac-kit. The background is made with acryl paint.

ARTJournal - vervolg/continued

Het 2e thema voor de ARTJournal-swap tussen Sija en mij is LYRICS(oftewel liedteksten).Het liedje The Rose van Bette Midler heeft voor mij een speciale betekenis en inspireerde mij tot het maken van deze pagina. Ik heb het laatste couplet met een oude schrijfmachine op dunne mousseline getypt en met Diamond Glaze op de geverfde achtergrond gelijmd.

The 2nd theme of the ART Journal-swap between Sija and me is LYRICS. The song The Rose performed by Bette Midler is very special to me and inspired me to make this page. I typed the text on muslin with an old typewriter and glued it on the painted background with Diamond Glaze.

Meditation Mail

Er staan soms hele leuke plaatjes in managerstijdschriften. Dit is er een van en deze inspireerde mij om hem op een Aboriginal-achtige achtergrond te zetten(overigens scrappapier dat ik met Distress inkten heb bewerkt). Tja, en dan is er weer dat inmiddels bekende (langdurige) telefoongesprek met mijn stempelvriendin, waarbij ik dan ondertussen met een witte gelpen streepjes en bolletjes in het geheel neerstrooi.

Manager's magazines are great sources for nice images. This one inspired me to put it on a Aboriginal-like background, which is b.t.w. scrap paper colored with Distress inks. And then there is this (long) telephone call with my stamping friend where I let my white gel pen do the decorating work.

Man from the Sea

Serendipity!!! Ik zocht iets heel anders en kwam een groot puzzelstuk tegen dat ik al een hele tijd geleden bewerkt had met gesso en acrylverf. Leuk! Die ga ik even afmaken.
En met een plaatje hier en een stempeltje daar dook deze zeemeerman zomaar op.En weet je wat? Ik hang hem hier in mijn huiskamer op, want ik word er vrolijk van..!!

Serendipity!!! I was looking for something completely different and came across this huge jigsaw piece I worked on a long time ago. I used gesso and acrylic paint. That's a challenge!! I'm going to finish it right now. And after a picture here and a stamp there this merman popped up. And you know what? I will hang it in my livingroom to look at, because it makes me feel happy..!

ARTJournal part 2

En dit is mijn tip-in voor Sija's ARTJournal. Ik heb in de tekst om het vrouwenhoofd heen het woord "mens" laten terugkomen. De twee heren inspireerden mij om het unieke in mezelf aan te duiden (hopende dat dit niet arrogant overkomt).

And here is my tip-in for Sija's ARTJournal. The dutch text around the woman's head is playing with the word "mens" (meaning man/people). The two gentlemen inspired me to express myself, whithout being arrogant. I am who I am: ME.
